MD Becomes FICE

Congratulations go to Walters Managing Director Nick Richards who has recently been admitted as a Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers. Nick was awarded the honour by Richard Coackley, the ICE President at the Institution’s headquarters (at 1 Great George Street, Westminster) and it comes as a result of over 30 years’ commitment to the civil engineering industry.

After many years with a major national contractor, Nick joined Walters in 2002 as Contracts Manager and, after successfully managing a number of complex projects, in 2007 was appointed to the board of Walters in the position of Managing Director.

Commenting upon the honour, Nick Richards said, “I am absolutely delighted to have received this honour and I very much hope that it reflects the highly professional organisation that is Walters today. As a company we are very supportive of the Institution and we will continue to be in the coming years.”
